Kevin Garnett Eyes A Title
Boston (1) vs Atlanta #8
Overview: Not much to say here. Celtics are good. Hawks are happy to be in the playoffs. It is a case more of how Boston gets through this series. If they do it quick and injury free. That is all that Celtics have to worry about in round 1.
Key Players For Each Team:
BOSTON: Rondo….He is the guy that is the playoff virgin and he needs to learn what playoffs are all about. Garnett and the other 2 can tell him all they like he needs to learn for himself. Based on his Regular Season I say he will learn fast.
ATLANTA: Josh Smith… He is a guy that can give any team trouble and if Hawks can win a game in this series Josh Smith will be a reason why. But I am not betting on it.

(2) Detroit vs (7) Philadelphia
Overview: Remember Raptors last year. This is Philly in o8 in the sense of little to no playoff experience against a battle tested group of vets. But Pistons are not the Nets of last year they are better then that. But it is a race against Boston on who can be more ready for the Eastern Conference Finals that both expect to be in.
KEY PLAYERS FOR BOTH TEAMS:
DETROIT: Rasheed Wallace….He always seems to wait for the Playoffs to push his gas pedal to the floor. Is the car still able to go fast? Well a nice test drive against the Sixers will tell us a lot.
Philly: Samuel Dalembert…We need Canadian Content to get the blog funding from the government. But seriously Sam can be a big X-Factor for his team. If Detroit has one flaw it is the lack of a legit Center in the traditional sense. He must own the paint on defense too. All that and it still may not mean anything. But to have a better chance Sam needs to be big.

(4) Cleveland vs (5) Washington
Overview: Like Raptors and Magic this has the makings of an interesting series. Stevenson of the Wizards saying Lebron James is over rated may be the stupidest comment made in history of NBA playoffs. James has been fighting a back injury but I am willing to bet his back improved when he read or heard that comment. Normally Agent 0 is the one writing checks his butt can’t cash. He last I checked was avoiding the media and he isn’t even blogging. Shame we won’t get to hear why Gilbert thinks the Raptors will get beat in 4 by Orlando.
Key Players For Both Teams
Cavs….Lebron James seems simple enough but based on comments and injury is really is going to be all about King James in this series. Can he get his team past the Wizards and how much will it take out of him if he can. Ask Chris Bosh’s girlfriend what happens when you smack talk Lebron James. Eddie Jordan needs to smack Stevenson on the head for the headaches he will get based on Lebron.
Wiz…..Jamison is the guy that Washington rides and he needs to play big and be big. You can talk about Agent 0 all you want. But in the end Jamison is the guy that makes this team run. Not that he could not use some help but he will need to battle with all the size that Cleveland got in the trade they made at the deadline.

(3) Orlando vs (6) Toronto
Overview: Think we have said it all on this one haven’t we? History says 2 things about this series. 1 Bosh > 1 Superman. 2 these two teams always play exciting basketball. Fans of every team but the team that loses wins.
KEY PLAYERS FOR BOTH TEAMS
Toronto: T.J Ford… yes it is about Howard and Bosh but for both to get the ball it will take the point guard to get it there. Ford is back to as close to 100% from where he started the season. Raptor fans most have forgotten that T.J Ford not Jose Calderon and Not CB4 was the best player on this team in November. He also is the most fired up person in that Raptor looker room. If he controls that emotion he could be huge in this series. Some feel he has too in order to stay in Toronto. He has a lot to prove.
Orlando….Jameer Nelson…Remember how he sat in that draft room on draft night as team after team said no thanks. Well he like T.J has a lot to prove. If he doesn’t and gets out played by FORDERON then he may be in doubt in Orlando at the very least as the Starter on that basketball team. He like T.J needs to feed his big man.
