Ukic as yet to play a minute of NBA ball I am not thinking we can call him a success just by being on the roster can we? Least I am not. It is to be determined if Babcock was right or wrong on Ukic. Anyway point being is Ukic was not forgotten just in my view not able to be considered.

Don’t forget Roko Ukic, also drafted by Babcock. That makes 3 current Raptors contributions, with Calderon, Mitchell and Ukic.

I Think Sam Mitchell is a Better Coach then People give him credit for.

Can’t argue that Sam’s future with the Raptors is based on this upcoming season. A 500 record won’t cut it and don’t think BC would hesitate if this team got off to a slow start.

That being said, I think we have got the right coach. Have always loved Sam, his dealing with the media, his dress. He adds a rugged class to the organization. Coaching will always be second guessed, its easy to call a play after its been played. Do not think his X’s and 0’s are as bad as the blogs suggest. In the two season’s where he has actually had a roster, he(well, the team) overachieved in the first year and probably underachieved in the second. Although I could name what I consider key factors to us coming down last season (Garbo, Ford, Bargnani).

This seaon he has the roster – no excuses to be had. I think we will hold our own in a much improved Eastern Conference.

I think it would be a big loss for the Raps if they lost Sam Mitchell. He’s a very good coach. Happy to have him here.

Great entry. Personally, I haven’t really been bugged my Mitchell’s substitutions that much. I think if a Coach has hte type of players he needs, he can make them work, and frankly, euro finesse dudes aren’t what Mitchell wants.

Thanks For the Comments and Links. I often get a few comments when I end up hitting the airwaves now. I promised Jack when I did the last interview with him I would try to be a frequent caller on the “Game Plan” it is least I can do for all the many times he has appeared here. I wish him all the best and encourage you all to support the coach. Glad you read the blog everyday Damon. Hey DinoBlogger heard you on the The game Plan yesterday. I agree i don’t know why people hate sam mitchell so much. IMO he’s a great coach and motivator for this team. He’s got support of his player and Bryan. People say that he’s a bad X’s and O’s coach, but in reality the players are suppose to be able to complete the plays themselves. Remember the game in Atlanta when parker through the inbounds pass to TJ for an alleyoop. It was brilliant and they pulled it off, even though it never counted. I do expect great things out of this team next year with O’Neal. Like you said he bring that sam mitchell type of play. Keep up the good work on the blog read it every day.
