the trade of tj ford is were the season started going wrong he was the only gaurd on the raps roster who could get his on shot, he is a contrasting style of pg to calderon and could score quikly and set other guys up ad didnt need a lot of minutes to be extremley effective. o’neal just took Bargnanis minutes bargnani fits into raps style better with outside scoring can block some shots not the best rebounder but marion couldd have made up for that and now he is gone. i still the the raps havent addressed the problem of a starting sg who can create his own shot they got turkoglu but i still think he wont make much of an impact interms of playoff aspirations he adds a better outside shot and a guy who can handle in comparison in marion. the raps got reggie evans a tough rebounder but lost kapono the best 3 point shooter on the team unless they change there playing style i dont see the raps improving much on last year

I always find it odd responding to something I wrote so long ago. That is the Joy of the internet I guess. When did Bosh blame fans for loses? I missed that. Did he say they don’t help things by booing? Yup. Is that probably true? Yeah. I have never hated Vince. I am not sure why people have thought I do. Vince Carter just bottom line does not LOVE basketball he loves what basketball does for him. As for the comment about Bosh and not supporting his child if you choose to believe a bitter ex-girlfriend that is asking for 14.4 million bucks and not Bosh that is fine. I am not going to change your mind. But there has been things brought forward in the press that suggest that Alison is nothing but someone looking for a payday.

As for the Raptors not being in Toronto without Vince that is an interesting suggestion. I am not sure if it is factual or not. If the Raptors drafted Paul Pierce our you suggesting they would be in Las Vegas? I am not sold on that. I use Pierce as the example cause he was drafted in the same year after Carter.

What a joke! Take a look at the 2000 US team vs the 2008 US team. Bosh did s___ while Carter basically carried the 2000 US team. Well it’s easy for Bosh to take the losses because he blames everyone but himself! Everyone got the see the real Bosh this season — blames fans for losses, makes a habit of choking in crunch time, and doesn’t support his child. Hate VC all you want but the truth is the Raptors wouldn’t be playing in Toronto right now if it weren’t for Vince.

Well, it’s near the end of the season. Bosh started out really promising, but coaching change and injuries have derailed him. It’s probably defense that have killed the Raptors the most this season and everyone on the team was just bad. I can say with absolute confidence that a Bosh-Bargnani frontcourt just won’t cut it defensively if the Raps want to be successful.

As for whether Bosh will be the best Raptor? Doubtful, the season has proven that Raptors can be downright awful, constantly playing comeback role. Getting booed for lack of effort, Bosh feels it and he doesn’t like it, he’ll be gone in 2010. They won’t make the playoffs this year and next 2009 playoffs is a big question mark. So for the Bosh era, two quick first round exits. VC was much better in his prime.

I agree and actually I am writing a short assignment for one of my classes on the economic impact the Raptors have had on Canada. I was curious if anyone would know about the amount of merchandise sales outside of Toronto and or the number of people traveling to see the Raptors play or make it part of their visit to Toronto.

Any suggestions?
