Dino Nation Blog- Hall Of Fame

I have mentioned in the past that a lot of folks have helped me in building this blog. I wanted to create something to acknowledge that and thank them so I decided to create this page to honour them in some way. So with that said I give you the first members to this group:

Eric Smith- I got to know Eric from my work on the Round Ball Review. It was a basketball segment on the show Jock Talk here in Hamilton on C101.5 FM. I made contact with Eric and he was a guest on the segment a few times. When I created the Dino Nation Blog I once again called on Eric to help me and I can not tell you how much he has. He got me in touch with his HOOPS crew of Jack Armstrong and Paul Jones and they now to have been people I can count on. I recently had the chance to see Eric when he was here in Hamilton covering team Canada and was able to thank him personally for all his help. That made me feel good because it was well deserved. So the fact he is the first person to enter my personal Hall Of Fame makes total sense to me. He deserves it and I am a big fan and supporter of all the fine work he does.

Jack Armstrong- One of my biggest disappointments when I was doing the Round Ball Review was not getting Jack Armstrong on the air with me. I did not know how to ask people like Chuck and Eric how to get in touch with him without making them feel less important. I was fortunate to have them as guests. So, when the blog started first thing I thought of was I need to get Jack Armstrong on here. Thanks to Eric and Jack it happened. Since the first time I was able to talk with Jack. He has become someone I can count on for help and it means a lot. His personal support of what I have been doing has been a tremendous honour for me. I really respect Jack and am happy to have been able to get to know him a bit. He is a great person and no one is more happy to see him continue with the Raptors more than me.

Paul Jones- I also was hooked up with Paul by Eric Smith. I had tried on my own but in the end had to call on Eric for some help. I have known Paul only via email to this point. But he also has been very helpful and encouraged me in what I was doing. It really was great to get such support and he has always been kind to me and continues to give me a helping hand whenever I have called upon him to do so. I really have enjoyed getting to know him a little more.

So there they are the entire crew from HOOPS on the Fan590 they have all been a big part of helping the Dino Nation Blog. Not just by what you read from them in quotes and interviews, But by showing me encouragement and helping me try to advance myself and this blog. If anyone has anything bad to say about them I will be the first in line to defend them. These guys all could have easily blown me off as just a fan and not worth their time. But the reality is they have done the exact opposite of that and treat me with great respect. That means so much and I am proud to honour them in this small way. Any future success I am able to gain will have in part something to do with these three guys and I will always be grateful.
